From Tinley Park, Illinois, Brian Younker is a serial entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is active within his community and runs a scholarship program for students at Tinley Park High School.
In 1988, Brian Younker founded Y&D Maintenance, a landscape management company. The company serves residential, commercial, and industrial clients and offers a wide range of services such as weekly scheduled maintenance, pruning, seasonal clean-ups, seasonal color, mulch, and snow plowing.
In 2001, he co-founded and launched Younker Media with his late sister, Cynthia Marie Younker, to serve the untapped mobile billboard market in Chicago. The company performs a variety of services for clients, including mobile billboard trucks, searchlights, and red-carpet events. Over its years in business, Younker Media has expanded to offer coverage in other nearby markets including Milwaukee, the Wisconsin Dells, and Indianapolis.
Brian is heavily involved in his community. He is a local elected official and acts as highway commissioner for the Orland Township. He also launched the Orland Township Electronic Recycling Program, one of its kind in his area. The program recycles used electronics appropriately and holds shredding events, protecting people from potential identity theft.
In honor of his late sister, Brian Younker also annually runs the Cynthia Marie Scholarship Program. The program offers one scholarship of $1,000 to a female graduating senior from Tinley Park High School.
